Why us?
- Collectively, we have been designing, conducting
and publishing empirical research on user interface design issues
since 1988.
- We have conducted design research/usability
testing for various companies and organizations, including: National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), IDEO Product Development,
UK Defense Research Agency, Logitech, Inc., Colorado MicroDisplay,
Fogdog Sports, Hewlett Packard, Hyperion Solutions, Sharewave,
Inc., Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Command Audio.
- Our Principal, Dr. Anthony Andre, has taught
the graduate Research Methods course at San Jose State University,
instructing future interface evaluators how to conduct valid
and reliable design research. It is perhaps our skills in experimental
design that separate Interface Analysis from other companies,
as the data from any usability test are only as good as the design
of the test itself.
- Collecting the data from a usability test
is one thing; understanding it’s meaning is another. Since
we are experts both in the design and evaluation of consumer
product interfaces, we can interpret the implications of the
test data towards the (re)design of your product.
- Our high-tech facility not only allows us
to collect various forms of automated and observational data,
but it can also accommodate observers (designers, engineers,
management) from your company.
